PUBLIC SECTOR

Protecting participation in public life

Areto removes hate speech, threats, personal attacks and scams from public social channels in under three seconds, in more than 55 languages.

Why it matters

When abuse drives people offline, the harm becomes democratic

Online abuse no longer arrives one comment at a time. It's coordinated, automated and timed to the moments that matter most: a vote, a campaign launch, a contested policy. The people on the receiving end are elected officials, candidates and the staff who run their channels. Many of them are women. Some of them decide it isn't worth it, and step back.

When that happens, the harm stops being personal. It becomes democratic.

Areto tells the difference between criticism and abuse, so scrutiny stays and harassment goes. Constituents can still disagree with you. They just can't drive you offline.
